Book Review: A Spark in My Quiet World

Book Title: A Spark in My Quiet World
Author: Femi Fragile
Reviewer: Ray Anyasi
A love tale, not like the usual
The story of Victor in his search for enduring love with just the right soul as told by Femi Fragile might has begun from inside a car on a road trip, but in truth, Victor’s hunt began from his subconscious. His heart was searching for a mate. Hence, he embraced alcohol but
as one would expect and he too would discover, it won’t do. At the other end of their journey was a wedding ceremony waiting, and so is a lady who will pretend to put a stop sign on his search for a perfect lover. Lizzy turned out to be the wrong Elizabeth but played her part in preparing Victor for the real Elizabeth, Beth.
A Spark in My Quiet World is a story that tells the reader to find value in even the most senseless situation. This might have been packaged to be a love story but it does more than the typical love story. It teaches a vital life lesson. I couldn’t have been more pleased for the chance to read it.
Fragile has applied a sensational writing style in executing this story in a way that interacts with the target audience in their own language and entices the reader to want to talk back at the narrator. This is commendable. The book world will surely be grateful to Fragile for honoring us with the beauty of this story.

One area of the story I would have rather seen done differently was the opening. I would have preferred more life in the beginning pages. I was tempted to stop right there but when I went further to finish the story, I was glad I did. Good job by the writer.

Rating; I would give this book a 4 Star. I recommend it.
